A new idea that will rule the world: Serchilo is a new powerful combination of a search engine and a short-cut-list. You have access to all kinds of online database, from Google to Ebay, from Amazon to Google Maps. Instead of going to Google and search for them, you simply you go Serchilo, type “a terry pratchett” and it gives you all Amazon books of Terry Pratchett. And it does not stop there: users can create new shortcuts by using a very simple programming language. And if you don’t know what shortcuts exist, just type one letter and all possible shortcuts are presented to choose from. Serchilo is created by Potsdam Student Georg Jähnig (Georg, if you read this, let’s meet soon in person) and he also maintains a blog with latest updates of the search engine.
